This section is reserved for real, documented projects: intake condition, what we found on inspection, the method chosen and why, and the honest result — including anything that did not fully resolve. No case studies are published here yet, because we will not invent them. In the meantime, verified customer feedback is on the reviews page.
What a case study here will contain
When a project is published on this page, it will follow the same structure every time, so results are comparable rather than cherry-picked:
- The rug: size, fibre, construction, approximate age and origin where known
- Condition at intake: photographed front and back, with the specific problems listed
- Testing results: fibre identification and colourfastness findings
- Method chosen: immersion, controlled surface wash or low-moisture — and the reasoning
- Complications: anything unexpected, and how it changed the approach
- Result: photographed under comparable lighting, with what improved and what did not
- What was not achievable: stated plainly, not omitted
Why the page is empty rather than filled
Case studies are only meaningful if they are real. Publishing generic stock imagery with invented project narratives is common in this industry and it is worthless as evidence. A case study needs the customer's permission, documentation captured at the time, and photographs taken under conditions that make the comparison honest.
Until those exist for a given project, the more useful evidence is the documented process we apply to every rug and the reviews customers have written publicly.
